昨年の動画#163で、芽切り剪定をしない場合を紹介しました。
その時芽切りを見送った黒松の現在と、今年の芽切りの様子を今回の動画にまとめました。
芽切りを言う作業は、黒松等の成長を抑制し、枝数を増やすなどの効果がありますが、その反面、木にとっては大きな負担です。
調子が悪い松は休ませるという選択も、時に大事ですね。
芽切りをしないことで、木はかなり樹勢を回復できることが分かります。
アクセルとブレーキを上手に使い分けて、木の状態を健康に管理したいです。
In last year's video #163, I used several black pines to explain when mekiri pruning is not required.
In this video, I would like to show you the current state of those trees that were not mekiri-pruned at taht time, as well as this year's pruning work.
Mekiri method is effective in suppressing the growth of black pine and increasing the number of branches.
On the other hand, it puts a huge burden on the trees.
Therefore, it is sometimes necessary to choose not to do mekiri-pruning on trees that are in poor condition.
By not doing mekiri, the trees can greatly recover its vigor.
I want to use mekiri method effectively to manage the healthy growth of pine trees.
